HELIX | Pendant Light E27 & E26 fast print

A strong weave and a twist to add some style to your living space.

This HELIX pendant light comes in 2 sizes:

  • a large one (Ø235mm)
  • a smaller version (Ø208mm) that can fit on PRUSA printers

Any 3D printer can print it without exceptional print settings and a regular 0.4mm nozzle, but 0.8mm to 1mm nozzles would work too as I made the wicker weave 0.9mm thick. The weave on some of my previous designs was only 0.45mm thick, and so could break and tear easily. This new 1mm weave is much stronger and prints much cleaner. (See print settings below)

This lamp works with E27, E26 sockets.

Lightbulb socket hole diameters:

  • E27: Ø41mm

3D PRINT SETTINGS All STL files are already oriented properly.

The only trick for the shade is to set the layer height to 0.3mm, since each weave line is 1.2mm thick, so is made of 4 layers.

TOP PART: Infill: None Wall line count: 2 Resolution: 0.2~0.3mm/layer or less (the bases in the pictures were printed in 0.3mm/layer) Build adhesion type: None Supports: None

SHADE: The shade prints in standard mode, not vase mode. Resolution: 0.3mm/layer Wall line count: 2 Build adhesion type: None. Supports: None Infill: None

The blue top part in the pictures was printed with some "fuzzy skin". The settings were:

  • fuzzy skin thickness: 0.15mm
  • fuzzy skin point distance: 0.6mm
